UNIVERSITY-WIDE CHALLENGES
RED (White) and BLUE Challenge
UR  Here is everywhere! A patriotic Spider has offered $5,000 if we receive at least one gift from all 50 states!

 

#SpiderSpotting Challenge
No matter where you are around the globe, UR  Here in our hearts. A generous donor has offered $5,000 if we receive a gift from at least 10 countries!

 

Rise ‘n’ Shine Challenge – April 11
Make today twice as nice! Tracey Ivey, B’82, and husband Bob, B’82, have offered to match, $1 for $1, all gifts made between 6-9 a.m. EDT up to $5,000.

 

Power Hour Challenge – April 11
Feeling that afternoon slump? Time to power through! A Spider alum and trustee has offered $5,000 if we receive 25 gifts between 3-4 p.m. EDT.

 

Strong Finish Challenge – April 11
It’s the final countdown! A member of the Board of Trustees has offered to match, $1 for $1, all gifts made between 11 p.m. and midnight EDT, up to $5,000.

 

Spider Anniversary Challenge
In honor of 125 years of being Spiders, a generous donor has offered UR up to $1,250:

    • $125 for the 125th gift,
    • $250 for the 250th gift,
    • $375 for the 375th gift,
    • $500 for the 500th gift. 


SOCIAL MEDIA + CHAMPION CHALLENGES

UR  Here Champions Challenge
The Champion who brings in the most gifts through their personal link will win $500 to the fund of their choice. Second place will win $250 to the fund of their choice. Click any of the links below to sign up to be an official Champion and help spread the word!

Post a photo of your child or pet wearing UR gear to Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter. Tag with #URHere and include the school, department, program, or team you support for the chance to earn $250 for that fund.

AFFILIATION CHALLENGES
GOLD Challenge
This one’s for our Grads of the Last Decade (classes 2009-2018)! The school, department, or program with the most GOLD alumni donors during UR  Here will receive a bonus of $2,500. Offered by a Spider who is young at heart!


Spider Parent Challenge
Proud parents of a 2020 Spider have offered a special challenge to fellow parents: The school, department, or program with the most parent donors during UR  Here will receive a bonus of $2,500. Thanks, Mom and Dad!


We are UR: Faculty & Staff Challenge
Faculty and staff are our best ambassadors. The school, department, or program with the most gifts from faculty and staff will receive a bonus of $2,500. So glad UR  Here with us! Generously offered by a Spider family.

  • Keith “Mac” McIntosh, VP of Information Services, is offering a special challenge for IS staff. If 50% of IS staff give back, Mac will contribute $1,000. If 75% give back, he will give $1,500, and if 100% make a gift, Mac will give $2,000!


SCHOOL & UNITS CHALLENGES
A&S Donor Challenge
Patrice Rankine, Dean of the School of Arts & Sciences, has issued a very special challenge: For every 50 donors to the School of Arts & Sciences, or any of its departments, Dean Rankine will personally donate $1,000, up to a maximum of $4,000. Your gift of any amount will help A&S take advantage of this generous challenge!

  • $1,000 for 50 donors
  • $2,000 for 100 donors
  • $3,000 for 150 donors, and
  • $4,000 for 200+ donors.


Jepson Brunch Challenge
If Jepson receives at least 50 gifts during UR  Here, Dean Sandra Peart will treat Jepson alumni to brunch during Homecoming 2019 weekend!

 

Robins School of Business Challenge
Kevin Cox, B’74, has challenged Spiders to give to the B-School during UR  Here and will match gifts, $1 for $1, up to $10,000!


Westhampton College Challenge
Joy Cox, W’76, has challenged Spiders to give to Westhampton during UR  Here and will match gifts, $1 for $1, up to $10,000!

 

Law School Challenge
Gifts made to the Michelle Rahman Endowed Scholarship during UR  Here will be matched, $1 for $1, by Rick Klau, L’96, who pledged $100,000 in total matching funds!

 

SPCS Challenge

  • DAC Challenge: The SPCS Dean’s Ambassadors Circle (DAC) has pledged $8,500 for the DAC Challenge Gift. Once 50 participants donate, the DAC Challenge Gift will be unlocked! Help us unlock this generous $8,500 gift by being one of the first 50 participants to give to the SPCS Annual Fund as part of UR  Here.

 

  • Happy Hour Challenge: The first 25 donors to give during the Happy Hour Challenge from 5-8 p.m. on April 11 will be invited to an exclusive brewing education and beer tasting event with Brewing Education Program Specialist Bobby Faithful and Dean Jamelle Wilson. Whether or not you’re planning to join us on April 11 at Kindred Spirit for our celebration event, we hope all craft beer lovers will join in this fun UR  Here challenge.

 

Common Ground Challenge
Maura and Steve Mongelli, ’98, challenge all Spiders to support Common Ground during UR Here. They will match your gift, $1 for $1, up to $2,500!

 

Lobo Math & Computer Science Challenge
Andrew Lobo, ’06, has offered to match gifts to the Math and Computer Science Department, $1 for $1, up to $500. That’s a calculation we can all make!

 

Multicultural Affairs Challenge
Dr. Camille Cade Hammond, ’97, challenges all Spiders to support the Office of Multicultural Affairs during UR  Here. She will match your gift, $1 for $1, up to $2,500.

 

ATHLETICS CHALLENGES
Team with the Highest $$$ Raised
Dedicated Spider Club members and season ticket holders Chris and Karen Bryant have challenged all 17 teams to make UR  Here a huge success. They will give $5,000 to the team that raises the most money during UR Here!
